LELO HEX Bio condoms carry the range's 350-hexagon structure in an organically sourced latex. The composition also includes L-arginine, an amino acid. This is the HEX line for anyone who looks at where the material comes from as much as at the sensation.

Why choose these condoms

  • Organically sourced latex — from organic farming, according to the manufacturer.
  • 350-hexagon structure — the internal network follows the shape and limits slipping.
  • L-arginine — the amino acid appears in the composition stated by the manufacturer.
  • Lightly lubricated — as with the rest of the HEX range.
  • Three pack sizes — the same reference in a box of 3, 12 or 36.

How to use them

  1. Check the expiry date and that the individual wrapper is intact.
  2. Open the wrapper by hand, without scissors or nails.
  3. Pinch the tip to expel the air, then roll down onto the erect penis or onto the accessory.
  4. Only pair with a water- or silicone-based lubricant: oil-based products damage latex.
  5. Remove after use, tie, wrap and bin it — never flush it.

Care and precautions

A condom is a medical device: read the leaflet supplied with the pack before use. Single use — never reuse one, and never wear two at once. Check the expiry date printed on the pack and do not use the product beyond it. Open the individual wrapper by hand and check that it is intact. Latex, organic or not, remains incompatible with oil-based products: oils, balms and petroleum jelly weaken it. If you are allergic to latex, choose a latex-free condom. No method of protection offers absolute safety against pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections. Whatever the origin of the material, bin the condom rather than flushing it. Store away from heat, damp and direct light, and keep out of reach of children.

Frequently asked questions

What is organically sourced latex?

Latex harvested under organic farming practices. The manufacturer does not publish the certifying body.

What is the L-arginine for?

It is an amino acid present in the composition. We pass on no claim of an effect on erection: such claims are not within what a condom may state.

Are they biodegradable?

The manufacturer says so of the latex, but asks that they be binned, never flushed.

What are their thickness and width?

The manufacturer does not publish those figures for the organic version.

Which lubricant should be used?

A water- or silicone-based lubricant. Never an oil-based one.

SoPigalle tip: the environmental argument stops at the material. The final gesture does not change: bin it, tied and wrapped, never down the toilet.
