LELO TIANI 3 or TIANI Duo: what is the difference?

Illustration éditoriale noir et blanc : le LELO TIANI 3 et le TIANI Duo avec leurs télécommandes sur un balcon parisien, et un carnet « Un moteur ou deux ».

In short: the LELO TIANI 3 and the LELO TIANI Duo are both worn during sex, one arm inside and the other against the clitoris, with a SenseMotion remote. The Duo adds a second motor that makes both arms work at the same time and a wider range of intensities; in return, its intensity can only be set from the remote.

This comparison only uses data published by LELO and shown on our product pages. When a figure is not published, the table says so.

One motor or two

The TIANI 3 runs on a single motor, which LELO states is twice as powerful as the previous generation. It offers eight modes: six standard programmes and two composed directly from the remote.

The TIANI Duo runs two motors at the same time, one inside and one against the clitoris: both areas are stimulated together instead of a single source spreading out. It also offers a wider range of intensities, with more steps between the gentlest setting and full power.

The remote: a detail that matters

On both models, the SenseMotion remote responds to wrist movements, so you can hand control to your partner without hunting for a button. The Duo has one particularity: its button starts the device and changes mode, but the intensity can only be set from the remote. Without it, it runs at full intensity. The remote unlocks by holding the + and − buttons together for three seconds: do it before you start.

Which one to choose

The LELO TIANI 3 is for you if:

  • you are discovering massagers worn during sex;
  • you want a model stated to be fully submersible;
  • eight modes, two of them composed with the wrist, are enough for you.

The LELO TIANI Duo is for you if:

  • you want simultaneous internal and external stimulation;
  • you like having many intensity steps;
  • you are comfortable with intensity controlled from the remote.

What if you prefer an app?

The LELO TIANI Twist replaces the remote with the LELO app, with eight modes, two app-exclusive modes and sixteen intensity levels. To choose more broadly, read How to choose a sex toy for couples? and our guide Which LELO should you choose in 2026?

Our verdict

The TIANI 3 is the choice of simplicity: one motor, eight modes and an intuitive remote. The TIANI Duo is the choice of shared intensity: two simultaneous motors and a finer range of intensities, as long as you keep the remote within reach.

SoPigalle tip: put the device in place well beforehand, outside of sex, and leave it switched off for a while. A worn massager is judged on comfort first: if it holds for ten minutes without you thinking about it, the rest will follow. Use a water-based lubricant on the internal arm, as explained in our guide Water or silicone lubricant: how to choose?

FAQ: LELO TIANI 3 or TIANI Duo

What is the difference between the TIANI 3 and the TIANI Duo?

The TIANI Duo has two motors that stimulate inside and the clitoris at the same time, and a wider range of intensities. The TIANI 3 has a single motor and eight modes, two of them composed from the remote.

Does the TIANI Duo work without the remote?

Yes: its button starts it and changes mode, but it then runs at full intensity. The intensity can only be set from the remote.

Can they stay in place during sex?

That is what they are designed for: a discreet internal arm and an external arm against the clitoris. Take the device out if the position becomes uncomfortable rather than compensating with power.

Is there an app-controlled version?

Yes, the TIANI Twist, which replaces the remote with the LELO app.
