TitreDefault Title

The SHUNGA Lavender massage candle lights like a candle and ends as warm massage oil. Its vegan wax melts at a low temperature, never reaching that of an ordinary scented candle: after twenty minutes or so, blow out the flame and pour the pool of oil into your palm. One hundred and seventy millilitres, up to forty hours of burn time, and a lavender that calms without taking over the room.

Why choose this candle

  • Two uses in one object — the atmosphere first, the massage oil next, without moving a thing.
  • Low-melt wax — it melts at a temperature meant to be poured onto skin, not to burn it.
  • Vegan formula — sweet almond, coconut, avocado, grapeseed and sesame oils, with vitamin E.
  • Up to forty hours — the 170 ml jar lasts well beyond a single occasion.
  • Lavender — the calmest scent in the range, the one you pick to unwind rather than to arouse.

How to use it

  1. Place the candle on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts.
  2. Light it and let it burn for around twenty minutes, until a pool of oil forms on the surface.
  3. Blow out the flame, then pour a little oil onto your inner wrist to check the temperature.
  4. Pour it over the shoulders, back or legs, and massage with slow movements.
  5. Let the wax cool completely in its jar before moving or storing it.

Care and precautions

Never leave the candle burning unattended and keep it out of reach of children and animals. Always blow out the flame before pouring, and test the temperature on your wrist before any prolonged contact with skin. Do not pour the wax onto the face, mucous membranes, broken or freshly waxed skin. The formula contains sweet almond oil: avoid it if you have a nut allergy. If you experience redness, burning or irritation, stop using it.

Frequently asked questions

Does the wax burn the skin?

No, the formula is designed to melt at a low temperature. Still, test it on your wrist before each use.

How long before I can pour?

Around twenty minutes is enough for a pool of oil to form on the surface.

How long does it last?

Up to forty hours of burn time for the 170 ml format.

Is it vegan?

Yes. The formula is built on plant oils and contains no animal-derived ingredients.

Can it be used as an ordinary scented candle?

It can, but that would be a waste: the wax is formulated for skin as much as for atmosphere.

SoPigalle tip: light it twenty minutes ahead, not at the moment you want it. The melting time is part of the ritual, and a candle waited for together beats an oil uncapped on the spot.
