The SHUNGA Chocolate massage candle is the most indulgent in the range. Light it and the room smells of warm cocoa; twenty minutes later, blow out the flame and the same scent moves onto skin, carried by a warm oil. One hundred and seventy millilitres of vegan low-melt wax, up to forty hours of burn time.

Why choose this candle

  • A dessert scent — straight cocoa, without the cloying sweetness of mass-market scented candles.
  • Low-melt wax — it melts at a temperature meant for skin, not for atmosphere alone.
  • Plant-based — sweet almond, coconut, avocado, grapeseed and sesame oils, with vitamin E.
  • For the sweet-toothed — if you're torn between scents, this is the most instantly recognisable.
  • 170 ml — enough to last well beyond one evening.

How to use it

  1. Set the candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts.
  2. Let it burn for around twenty minutes, until a pool of oil forms.
  3. Blow out the flame and test the temperature on your inner wrist.
  4. Pour onto the back, the neck or the thighs, and massage without rushing.
  5. Let the wax harden in its jar before storing it.

In the same register: our massage candles, our massage oils and the full wellness range.

Care and precautions

Never leave the candle burning unattended, and keep it out of reach of children and animals. Blow out the flame before pouring and check the temperature on your wrist. Avoid the face, mucous membranes and any broken or freshly waxed skin. The formula contains sweet almond oil: avoid it if you have a nut allergy. Despite its scent, this product is not edible. If you experience redness or irritation, stop using it.

Frequently asked questions

Does the scent stay on the skin?

Yes, the oil keeps the cocoa scent well after the massage.

Is it edible?

No. It is a massage product, not a food product, despite the scent.

Does the wax stain sheets?

It is a plant oil: lay down a towel, as you would for any oil massage.

How long does it last?

Up to forty hours of burn time for the 170 ml format.

Does it work as a gift?

Along with vanilla, it is the safest scent in the range.

SoPigalle tip: cocoa does not share a room well. If you light it, set aside the incense and other scented candles — it fills a space on its own.
