A 95 mm housing at 34 mm across, 107 mm in total: the Obsidian Hold is the longest of the four single-use padlock cages, and the narrower of the two that carry five rings. Its five diameters, from 35 to 48 mm, are bunched towards the lower end. The reference offered here is size M.

How to use it
- Start with the 42 mm, mid-ladder, and adjust one step at a time.
- Check that a finger still slides under the seated ring before any closing.
- Fit the housing with the longest spacer, then shorten it over successive wearings.
- Close with the key for trials, and save the single-use padlocks for a settled wearing.
- Do not go beyond an hour on the first wearing, key within reach.

Care and precautions
The plastic padlocks supplied are single-use: they do not reopen, they are cut off. Keep cutters near the lock and a key accessible at all times, travel included. Wash in warm soapy water, cage dismantled, dried fully, water-based lubricant only. Secretions and urine collect inside the housing: rinse after every visit to the toilet. The first nights are spent without the cage, nocturnal erections being the leading cause of pain. Remove it and seek medical advice for pain lasting after removal, swelling, skin turning blue or white, an open sore or difficulty passing urine.

The manufacturer tightens the lower end: one millimetre changes the bearing without changing size.
Are other sizes available?
The manufacturer makes this model in several, but SoPigalle lists only the M.
What material is it?
It is not published for this reference. The instructions state it; failing that, treat the cage as a rigid plastic.
How does it differ from the Forbidden Vault?
Twenty millimetres of housing, one millimetre less across, and a different ring ladder.
Are the padlocks reusable?
No. The five supplied are single-use and are cut off. The two-key lock handles everyday use.
