* What is a DENIER?
DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the yarn used to make stockings and tights.
The lower the number of DENIERS (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the thinner and more transparent the stocking or tights. Conversely, the higher the number (40, 70, etc.), the thicker it is and the less visible the skin.
On the other hand, there are opaque microfiber tights and pantyhose in 50 and 100 deniers, in which the skin is barely visible. They are commonly used in autumn-winter.
Tights and pantyhose with a low DEN rating are normally used for the spring-summer season. The rest can be used throughout the year, for example for ceremonies, as the fineness of the stockings makes them more elegant.
