* What is DENIER?
DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the yarn with which stockings and tights are made.
The lower the DENIER number 8, 10, 15, 20, etc. the thinner and more transparent the stocking or pantyhose. Conversely, the higher the number 40, 70, etc. The thicker it is and the less visible the skin is.
On the other hand, there are opaque tights and pantyhose made of microfiber, in 50 and 100 denier, in which the skin is barely visible. Their use is common in autumn-winter.
Tights and pantyhose with a low DEN index are normally used for the spring-summer season. The rest can be used throughout the year, for example for ceremonies, since the thinness of the stockings makes them more elegant.
High numbers, 40, 70..., are generally used for autumn-winter.
